Encounters may include thousands of Hooded and White-naped Cranes, the immense Steller’s Sea Eagle along drift ice, and the unforgettable experience of observing the endangered Blakiston’s Fish Owl at close range. In addition to birdlife, we also visit the famous snow monkeys, where Japanese Macaque bathe in steaming hot springs surrounded by snow—one of Japan’s most iconic wildlife spectacles.
