A 6-day / 5-night journey exploring one of Australia’s premier wildlife destinations, this tour focuses on the region with the largest avifauna in the country. We explore a remarkable range of habitats, from coastal wetlands and mangroves to lowland rainforest, upland forests and dry woodland.
Our aim is to see all Wet Tropics endemic birds during the tour, while evening spotlighting should produce an excellent selection of nocturnal mammals, including tree-kangaroos, Platypus, possums and more. Seasonal conditions and flowering or fruiting events can also attract a variety of additional rainforest species, providing excellent birding opportunities throughout the region.
